I am the grandson of a Guiseppe Barbagallo from Giarre ? and then later from Piedimonte Etneo. He was a shoe maker and emigrated around 1900 to New York. He was married to an Angelina ( Cardile ) . They had two boys Salvatore and Joseph. I believe we are in someway related to the Pagano family as well. There are still plenty of Barbagallos in Piedimonte , and to my knowledge my grandfather Guiseepe did not have other brothers. ? I have also seen on the internet a Guiseppe Barbagallo coming from Piedmonte or Giarre in 1905 and settling in Albany New York. He was a shoemaker and also played the coronet. I don’t know if that person was related to me or not ? Can you shed some light — Thank You
