  5. Since I haven’t been able to locate records for Vincenzo Campanile in Carpino maybe I should be looking in Carpinone (little Carpino). Carpinone is located along the Carpino river near Isernia.

I have found a ship record for Vincenzo and his mother’s town is listed as Longano,It which is just a few miles from Carpinone.

Where should I start looking. This is a very small comune.

  6. Rosemary Schappelle

Hello, I am looking for relatives in Carpinone. I believe that my great grandfather came from Carpinone, although some records say that he was from Carponone, Campobasso. Information given to me says that his name was Angelo Martini born October 15, 1862 at Carponone, Campobasso, Italy. His marriage certificate says that he married in New York City on August 19, 1886 to my great grandmother, Maria DiGrazia of Potenza, Italy.

Please help me to locate information about him, his parents, and also brothers and sisters. Is there a church where there are baptism records for him and his family? Are there city government records for them?

Thank you so much for helping me. I greatly appreciate your help.
    Sincerely,
    Rosemary Schappelle
