I’m planning a visit to Minturno July 2026 and am trying to locate any relatives I may still have there. My grandmother Angelina Albano was born in Minturno in 1897. I know she also had a sister Teresa and a brother Paolo. She moved to the United States and her sister Teresa moved to Toronto Canada. Any information about Albano families still in Minturno would be greatly appreciated!
We are researching this for dual citizenship. My great grandmother was Lisabetta Treglia, born in 1877. Her Brother was Thomas Treglia and he immigrated to the United States as did Lisabetta. The Treglia’s first went to New York City and ended up in Stamford, Connecticut.
If you’re a Treglia you have relatives in San Diego ( Harriet Treglia 88 years old) Sacramento and Alameda. Lizabetta Treglia married Rafaele Sparangna and I have Sparangna cousins that still live in Minturno.
We have a pretty extensive Treglia Family tree put together.
Looking for family name De Santis from and still in Minturno
I am looking into my the history of my family in Minturno. Famiglia Treglia / Mazzucco/ Gattola/Brasile. I know Pasqualina Mazzucco married Nicola Treglia, Filomena Brasile married Salvatore Gattola.
Hello Mary, I see the Treglia/Mazzucco names in your post. My grandmothers parents were Francesca Mazzucco and Angelina Caruso. My grandmother was Maria Caruso and married Giuseppe Treglia. They came to America approx 1910 and were married 1/23/1915. Do any of these people seem familiar to you ?? I am researching my Italian heritage. Thanks
Dave Trelly

I believe he had a brother that also emigrated to the US.
I live in the U.S and would like to obtain Birth and marriage records for my family from Minturno. Would you please tell me how I can do that with out traveling to Italy. Thank you John
Hi. We are planning a visit to Minturno our family surnames include Batista. Our paternal great grandmother was Maria Bartholomeo, paternal great grandfather Nicolo Battista, our grandmother was Teresa Batista and her siblings were Gaetano, Julia, Josephine, Anna and Cristina. They migrated to Utica NY in 1903 and 1905. Looking for any family connections?
I first visited Minturno in 1973 — and I have returned several times since. During all of my visits, I did extensive genealogical research at both the Municipio and San Pietro Apostolo. Unfortunately, the church records of San Pietro only go back to 1799. This is because they were destroyed by Napoleonic troops on Easter Sunday of that year. The Minturnese names in my genealogy are as follows: CONTE, MALLOZZI, ALICANDRO, CREO, FRATE, TREGLIA, MASONE, ADIPIETRO, COSSUTO and CORRENTE.
Hi Stephen, My husband’s mother was born in Minturno, her maiden name was Mallozzi. Her parents were Pasquale Mallozzi and Maria Grazia Corrente. Sounds like we might be related.
I think Maria Corrente was my grandfather’s sister
Stephen, those are well-known names in Stamford and Darien, CT.
Hi Stephen,
I am Michael, and have Frate, Corrente and Conte in my family tree. Have been to Minturno twice to see family would love to see if we are related. My grandfather Frank Treglia migrated to Munsville NY around 1910 then moved to Utica NY then Darien CT then Norwalk CT.
Would love to see if we are related.
Thanks Cousin Mike
Hi Michael, I am looking for any family in Minturno that may be related to my great grandfather, Pasquale Treglia. He was born on 8 January 1890 in Minturno and parents were Giovanni Treglia and Filomena Mallozzi. He came to the US and settled in Haverstraw NY. I believe he had a brother that also emigrated to the US.
This is so helpful. My grandfather, Salvatore Thomas Treglia, was born in Minturno in 1879. He settled in Stamford, CT and was active in the Minturnese Society. It is now called the Italian American Club and is quite different than the big house that I worked in for a summer.
If there are any 80 year olds out there that remember that era, please contact me.
My mother’s name was Rose Agnes Treglia. She married James Frances Biase.
Tracing my paternal side, Alicandro from Minturno/Scauri.

My Father is Antonio Tartaglia and was from Scauri. My Father’s Grandmother did have a few siblings who are Pasqualina, Vincezo, Raphaele and Giuseppe… there may have been more but that is as far as I have gotten in my search. Who was your Father?
My grandparents, Rose Poccia and Francesco Terentino were born in Minturno, Italy. Rose was born in 1892 and Francisco in 1883.
I am trying to find family connections, records, or name origin. My family name is Loce. There is a via Don Guido Loce and a Palazzo Loce in Minturno. Does anyone know where to find any records that would be helpful? Who was Don Guido Loce? Who was the Palazzo named after?
Thank you
My grandfather on my father’s side immigrated to the United States I believe in 1918 during the Industrial Revolution. His name was Giovanni Tartaglia. He and his brothers owned a small farm which is still in the family today in the city of minturno. I did look through Ellis Island history for the ship that sailed from Naples to New York where he departed at Ellis Island and move to Utica New York.
I am the last son of my father Antonio Pasquale Tartaglia and I am the namesake of my grandfather. My father passed away January 17 1997 in Clark County Nevada Las Vegas at the age of 75 as he was born in 1921 April 20th
Hi My grandfather Francesco Tartaglia was from Scauri, Minturno, Italy … He also went to Utica about 1920 Im thinking. His Father’s name was Marsilio Tartaglia. I do know my grandfathers brother’s names although I do not know my great grandfather Marsilio’s siblings and I am told there were about 12 or so. Did you know your grandfathers siblings or parents names?

We are planning a trip to Italy. We plan to stop in Minturno. Are there any Lepone’s residing in the town?
HI Kenneth, Check with my brother, Tony Lepone. He was in Minturno a few years ago and cousin Johnny Lepone went there too at a different time. I think Johnny met neighbors who knew the Lepones
I see there is a street named Via Pasquale Lepone on the map.
I have just received a copy of Gerardo Lepone’s Immigration papers and a friend who is researching Lepone history will be sending me some more information in a day or two. If you send me your e-mail I will forward a copy to you. Have a wonderful trip.
