  1. I know my paternal grandmother (Maria Nicola Sacino) was born in Ruvo del Monte in about 1884. Her father was Michele Sacino, (my Great Grandfather). His father Michele Sacino (died before his son Michele was born) – my Great Great Grandfather. My 3x Great Grandfather was Francesco Sacino. I just want to fill some blanks ie.births, deaths, names of their wives. Where did they migrate to. However the Sacino name doesn’t appear on you list as a common name at all.

    1. Hi I don’t know you, but I saw your message. My grandfather was Alfred Secino. When they moved to Italy, I think they change the spelling and it might be spelt the same way as your family name.

  8. My great-grandfather, Giuseppe Pelosi, was born in 1834 and, according to most records, died in the battle of Ruvo del Monte Italy in 1861. However, two of his three sons were born after 1861. His wife did not remarry. Is it possible that the Giuseppe Pelosi who was killed during the 1861 battle was his father. I have no information regarding his father and mother. I would appreciate any information to clarify this.

  12. Trying to obtain information regarding Cesare Muccioli born Jan. 17, 1888. Departed for New York City in 1904. Married Teresa Virace in New York in 1910. Teresa born approximately 1889. We believe that Cesare and Teresa came from the Ruvo Del Monte area. Teresa may have been an orphan.

  14. My name is Paola Vincenzo Vito Suozzi Suozzi granddaughter who was the son of Stefano Suozzi Arcangela Suozzi and all born in Ruvo del Monte. I would like to contact someone in the family.

    1. My Grandmother Filomena Suozzi was born in Ruvo del Monte. She was the youngest of 17 and married Donantonio Grieco. They moved to Rome after WWII. I moved to the US as a child in the 70’s. A good number of her siblings moved to Glen Cove, NY.

  15. My grandfathers name ralph suozzi he had a brother thomas. They were veterans of world war one and came to america after the war. He left behind many relatives. He was one of 19 brothers and sisters.

      1. My grandfather was Ralph Suozzi who is from a large family. Came to America with brother Thomas after WW1. They were in the Italian army. He became a barber in the Bronx. Maybe we are related.
