  1. I have located microfiche for my great grandfather from a Potenza, Stato Civile (Tribunale), 1866-1910 record book that proves he was born in Grumento Nova, but I’m not sure where to request the actual record from. On that record, there is a “Numero di Registro”, which I’m guessing is an index that must refer to another place where the actual birth certificate is. Do you know who I’d need to contact or any services that would be willing to track this down for me in Grumento Nova?

Thanks, please private message me if possible!

  2. Hi, I’ve recently discovered my grandfathers birth certificate and found that he was born in Grumento Nova in 1883. He was born on Via Peruzzo, his name was Eugenio Vincenzo De Luca and his parents were Guiseppe De Luca and Innocente Gonteretti. They had another son Carlo who was born in Buenos Aires in 1881. The father and two sons (and maybe the mother) emigrated to Australia in 1991 and I’m wondering if there would be any records I could find of their time in Grumento Nova. Maybe census records, baptism, newspaper articles, school enrollments etc. Thank you

  3. Hi i am researching my family tree and I seeking information on my paternal grandfather. His name was Antonio Pecora born in the late 1890’s and lived in Grumento Nova. I would be grateful if you could point me in the right direction. Thank you.
