    1. I am just checking out some ancestry information and noticed your message. My grandfather was Raffaele Massimini (June 4,1884). He traveled to America and settled in Coraopolis, PA near Pittsburgh around 1920. I will be visiting Castel Frentano on June 19, 2017. I am 72 years old. Have you heard from any Massimini family still in Castel Frentano?

  6. Hello,

I’m trying to obtain marriage certificates and birth records for my grandfather and his parents. Everybody came from Castel Frentano, Chieti. I know my grandfather Domenico Valerio Date of Birth:04/16/1906. His fathers name is Tomaso Valerio and his mother is Lucia Rulli. My grandfather travelled to USA in 1920 with his father Tomaso and both were deported back to Italy. My grandfather then immigrated to Argentina and started a family there. When my grandfather landed at Ellis Island in New York,in 1920 Tomaso listed he had a brother in law, Domenico DiLoreto, my grandfathers uncle on his mothers side, already living in Pennsylvania USA. I’m trying to find this family and since there are so many Diloretos in Pennsylvania, I was hoping I could link the family I found in Pennsylvania, to my grandfathers mother. Thank you for your help.

  7. I am trying to locate birth certificates for my grandmother, maria Silverii (could be Silveria) and grandfather,Andrea Vitelli, both from Castel Frentano. Maria came to the United States with her sister-in-law,Camilla Vitelli, also from Castel Frentano. Is there a civil office I can write to in order to check birth records? Maria may have married Andrea before she came to the US so there may be a marriage record.
