  3. My grandfather, Giuseppe Roberto (Baroni) Modugno came to the US (Boston) from Picarelli, in 1916, I believe. He was 16 years old. His father Antonio stayed behind. I’m trying to go back and trace the origins of my family in Picarelli and before (maybe Bari of Modugno, the town) and the name’s history, itself. I visited Picarelli and met Modugnos living there recently. I’m interested in finding the names of my grandfather’s or great-grandfather’s family members.

My grandparents were married in the year 1919 in Modugno.
How can I get a marriage certificate for both my parents and grandparents from the City of Modugno … I sent an email to the City of Modugno last June 2013 and received no response.

Also where can I locate military records for my grandfather Domenico Campanelli. He was born Sept 30 1886 and not sure whether he served in World War 1. Also I would like a death certificate for my grandfather Domenico Campanelli.
Is it possible for someone to assist me and locate his grave in the cemetery in the City of Modugno and find a date for his death.
I live in Canada and it would be helpful for someone in Modugno to be able to assist me in this research. Let me know if there is a possibility.
    Sincerely & Thank You!
    Grace
