      1. Hello John. I love genealogy. My grandmother was Angelina Giglio. But she goes back to the 1870’s. There are a lot of Giglio’s still in that town. I have a little home 250 meters from the beach of San Lucido. I plan to go in April and
eventually I will be living (near) there. I can look up Giovanni Battista Giglio. and his brothers Ezio and Luigi, but the middle of Gino would be odd. It is a nickname and is probably the name: Luigino.
You had written Battisa (you forgot the “t”. ). Saint Giovanni Battista is the patron saint of the town. Big feast every year !. The word Giglio is the flower LILY. I don’t know how this site works – to see your answer or to see if you receive this.

        1. Ermida….You are right about Luigino. I did not find many Giglio’s in the phone directory. I would be interested in seeing the birth certificate of my father and his two brothers. They were both older then him. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Io parlo solo inglese e spagnolo, e molto poco italiana. Una amica ha tradotto questa lettera italiana.
