Day 1 – Welcome to your Italian town
Journey to your ancestors town.
Discovering the old town: mother church, historical buildings, old streets, charming views, artisans at work, sightseeings. Visiting the streets where they lived, the church where they married. Talking with people: hearing the dialect. Any distant cousin? Sunset in your town.
Overnight stay in a hotel in the town or surroundings.

Day 2 – A day in your ancestors town
A coffee in the bar, a walk in the piazza: live the typical Italian morning in a slow and relaxing way. Visit to the Municipality, taking original certificates of your ancestors at Registry office.
Would you like to meet the mayor? A thought to our beloved: a visit to the cemetery.
Is the home where they lived still there? Sunset in your town
Overnight stay in a hotel in the town or surroundings.

Day 3: Morano – Castrovillari – Altomonte
Breakfast at your hotel and transfer to Morano Calabro, true medieval jewel of Calabria, described as “one of the most beautiful villages in Italy “. Head on to Castrovillari, in the Pollino Park, with the Aragonese Castle and ancient buildings. In the afternoon visit of Altomonte , one of the most interesting medieval towns in Calabria. Back to your hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Camigliatello – Italy – Paola
After breakfast excursion to Camigliatello , the most important center of the Park of Sila. In the afternoon visit of Cosenza (the Old Town and the Cathedral) and the Sanctuary of Paola (Chapel, Cloister, path of miracles). Back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

tropea Day 5: Pizzo Calabro – Tropea – Jasmine Riviera
Breakfast and transfer to Pizzo Calabro. Visit of the Castle and the Church of Piedigrotta, entirely excavated in the tuff. In the afternoon visit of Tropea (Cathedral and historic center) and at a farm producing “red onions”. Transfer to the lower Ionian Calabria and get settled it at your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Locri – Gerace – Mammola
After breakfast excursion to Locri Epizephirii to visit the archaeological site and the museum. Continue to Gerace to visit the Cathedral and the Church of San Francesco. In the afternoon excursion to the village of Mammola where time has stopped: the sound of the accordion stroll through the narrow streets of the old town where you will dance the tarantella and you will taste local wine and sweets. Back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: End of the tour
Breakfast and transfer to the airport. End of services.

2 Extra Days Extension

Day 8: Reggio Calabria – Scilla – Sant’Elia

Excursion to Reggio Calabria and visit of the Archaeological Museum where is possible to admire the famous bronze Statues “of Riace”. Walk on the waterfront called the most beautiful kilometer in Italy. In the afternoon visit Scilla with its charming fishing district “Chianalea.” Back to your hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Serra San Bruno – Stylus
After breakfast visit of a plantation of bergamot and tasting the liquor. Departure for the visit of Serra San Bruno to visit the Carthusian monastery, the museum and the park. In the afternoon transfer to Stilo to visit its famous Cattolica, a Byzantine-style church from the 9th century. Back to your hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

  1. I would like to know about a day trip from Cosenza to carolei. I will be attending my cousins wedding I’m September a day thought I would like to see where my grandmother’s family was from.
