Hi! MY Great Grandfather was Italiano Luigi Santino Riani born 1 Nov 1881 in Fornaci di Barga to parents Pietro Riani and Assunta Magri. He came to Belfast approx 1897 and was apparently presummed dead by a Lucca Tribunal as his family did not know where h e had gone. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Hi …my father and some of his siblings were born in Tiglio in the late 1890s early 1900s (as were his parents and grandparents before him) before the family emigrated to Scotland. I am researching the family – Serafini – and would love to have some pictures of old Barga, Tiglio and Sommocolonia to include in the family history that I hope to compile.
