  1. Hi my cousin is Sheila as mentioned below and her mum Concetta is my aunt and my Dad Raffaielo (Ralph) her brother. Clorinda and Antonio are our grandparents married in Casteforte 11 Sept 1913. I have name as my middle name as she died shortly before I was born 1968. I am in Naples with my husband and intend on visiting Castelforte in the next day or two. Looking for advise on where to head to or ask for please.

  2. Mrs Sheila O'Brien

Hoping to visit Castalforte soon with my grand children to see where my mothers parents came from. Grandad was Antonio Coletta and Granmothers maiden name was Clorinda de Paulo both came from same town. Would love to see some old pictures they were both born there around 1895

    1. My parents both came from this town. My Granfather was Giuseppe Colette born around 1875 and his wife was a De Paola.

      1. Coletta. Ps. A lot of Coletta’s in this town. My sister was there 25 years ago. I still have cousins there

        1. Hi Marie, I’ve been trying to reconnect with the Coletta family. The Di Paolas in Scotland sadly appear to have lost touch. I’ve done plenty of family history work and have contacts in Castelforte.

          1. Hi Michael just seen and read Arrivederci Castleforte. It is excellent reading about my gran Clorinda’s family the De Paola’s. You have done lots of research. My gran who is pictured going to see her sister Magdalen’s is America died in 1968.

When we visited Castleforte in June 22 we were directed to two houses where family of Coletta lived. One being a Doctor. There was however a family member whose funeral was that day but not sure who it was the car was coming from Rome.

      2. Hi Sheila & Barbara, I’ve done plenty of work tracing the Di Paolas (less so the Colettas) back to Castelforte. Sheila – I can see exactly how we’re related through your Nonna Merinda (Clorinda). I’m the great grandson of her older brother, Giovanni. Barbara, unsure where Giuseppe Coletta fits in but Giovanni mentioned here, his father Giuseppe (a funari Castelfortesi) married Concetta Coletta. Feel free to contact me
