    Hi there,
I’m hoping to find the birth certificate for my great grandfather. He was born in 1882 in Fontana Liri. I don’t know much about his life in Italy (he moved to the U.S. in 1907 and we don’t believe he ever became a naturalized American citizen), but I do know he was born in Fontana Liri. I would like to be able locate his birth certificate and I’m trying to learn as much as possible about his life in Italy. Does anyone know where I may begin my search?

I am searching for information on my paternal family. My grandfather came to America at the age of 17 with his older brother. His name is Rocco Colonnello and his older brother’s name is Loretto Colonnello (half brothers maybe). I sent for my grandfather’s Social Security application and he lists his mother’s name as Leita Rushia. Rocco was a shepard in Fontana Liri Italy born June 19, 1897 but he ran away from home and had no contact with his family in Italy which makes doing his genealogy branch very difficult. I would appreciate any information you can provide.

    Salut!

    Grazie.

    Hello,

I’m seeking information on my ancestor, Pietro Corona, and his family (including parents or ancestors). He was born on August 19th, 1859 in Fontana Liri and married Modesta Matriale around 1878. He was a colonel in the Italian Army and of Spanish/Italian descent. He was also supposedly a member of the aristocracy. Any information on him, his wife, or either of their families would be helpful!
