Hi. I’m looking to trace my family back to Italy. My great grandparents Carmeno Tamburrino and Vincenza Tamburrino (previously Pinto, maiden name Liccardo) married 6th December 1899 in Cervaro. I assume they’re from this town. He was born in 1873 and she was born in 1880. The moved to Scotland, UK some time after. I believe Vincenza also had a daughter from a previous relationship/marriage born in Italy called Francis.
Carmeno could have been Carmine
Tamburrino could have been Tamburrini
I’d love some advice on where to start. I would like to visit and do some further research and a guide would be very helpful.

There were also civilians killed in World War 2 from this region with the same surname:
Maria Soave
Egidio Soave
Raffaela Soave
Any information and advice would be really helpful.
Hi Peter – I saw that in 2016 you were looking for information on Soave family members from Cervaro. I know this is a a long shot but my husband’s grandmother, Angelina Soave, was from the Cervaro area. There were 12 children in the family and I know she had a brother named Giuseppe but I don’t know any other names other than her youngest sister was Maria. My husband’s grandmother married a Palumbo and moved to the U.S. but the rest of her siblings remained in Italy. Her niece, Anna Soave, married Giovanni Marrocco of Cervaro. I have so little information on that side of the family and am always hoping to make contact with someone else who is related and might be able to fill in some gaps. I’m happy to share what little information that I have. Thanks.

Hello Vivian,
I am trying to find out info on my grandparents. My Great Grandfather was Vincenzo Canale Born 1869 in Cervaro. But he was married to Benedetta Colacicco. They had a son Enrico Canale which would have been my grandfather born Feb. 6, 1910. He also found in an African country, we presume Libya but not certain.
If your family is familiar with any of this information, I would be happy to hear from you.
