      Hello Patty

I was on this site looking up information on the Russo family tree when I saw your comment. My grandmother’s maiden name is Zingaro and lived in New Castle PA. I don’t really know much about her parents except they both came from Italy, and I suspect from the Baja e Latina area. I’d like to hear about your Zingaro ancestors.

  8. Troy says:

Hello: My father’s family hailed from Baia e Latina, Casserta, Italia. I seek my great-grandparents’ date of birth and death. Emiddio Faraone was a magistrate in the provincial court in Casserta. He married Maria Rossi and they lived in Baia with their 14 children. Their first daughter, Guiseppina (Josephine), was born in 1886. From that date an estimate for Emiddio’s and Maria’s birthdates is 1846. In 1984, I visited Baia’s City Hall and was given a copy of my grandfather’s birth record by the Mayor. The records are located in alcoves in the cellar of the city hall building. At that time, I did not ask for my great-grandparents’ birth certificates. Is it possible to have a copy of them sent? Thank you for your consideration of this request.
