    2. I am researching my family tree and I have been told my paternal great-grandparents from his mother side where from Bonito, Avellino. They were called Francesco Rendina and Teresa Ferraiuolo. Their daughter (my paternal grandmother) was Margherita Rendina, she married Giuseppe Fusco.

    3. My great-grandfather Francesco Ferragamo was born in Bonito in 27 January, 1877 and arrived in the United States in 1892; He was married to Libera Tarone who was born in Motcalvo in Avellino. He died in Pennsylvania in 1929. According to my family he is one of Salvatore Ferragamo’s elder brothers and I wanted to verify if that was true as well as connect with any relatives I may currently have living in Bonito, Avellino, and Naples.

    8. My Gr-Grandmother’s birth name was Maria Luisella Reda.
      She was born around 1872. Her parents were Filippo Reda and Nicoletta Vazza.
      Filippo Reda was a Professor and an Artist at a school with a Convent onsite or near by. Our family understands his Artwork still hangs on the walls of the school.

    9. My great grandfathers family came from Bonito. His name was Michele Beatrice(b. 1872). His father was Gabriele Beatrice (1831-1905) and his mother was Rosa Grieco (1841-1921). They had at least three other children – Giuseppe, Francesco, and Gabriele. I would like to trace my family’s lineage further back.

      I believe Gabrielle’s parents may have been Gennaro Beatrice and Angela Camuso.

      Rosa Grieco’s father was Vincenzo. Her mother may have been Lucia Fasano. Any information would be most welcome.

      1. My great grandfather was Basilio Camuso, born June 6, 1832 in Bonito and who came to the US in 1908 to be with his son. I believe his wife was AnnaMaria, and they also had a daughter-( name unknown) both of whom had died, Basilio died around 1918 and is buried in Warren, Rhode Island.

        His son,Pasquale Basilio Camuso, migrated to the US, around 1895 and was living in New England with his wife, Concetta Del Pozzo, and 4 children, Anna Maria, Basilio, Adelina and Theresa, He went to Bonito to bring his father to the US in 1908.

        I am interested in tracing the family history through this lineage.

        I too am researching my Belmonte family from Bonito. My 3x great grandparents were Dionisio Belmonte (b. 1838 Bonito) and Anna Tisa (b. 7 May 1841 likely in Bonito.) Their children (all born in Bonito) were Francesco (b. 1869,) my 2x great grandfather Stefano (b. 1871,) Serafino (b. 1875,) Vittoria (b. 1877,) and Salvatore (b. 1884.) I may have missed some children so I wonder if your 2x great grandfather is related? The only issue I see is that all of my Belmontes ended up in and around Boston and not NYC

      2. Giovanni Belmonte was my grandfather. His parents were Gabriel Belmonte and Antonia Betino. As best I know he had a sister, name unknow, who lived in Italy. Two younger brothers who came to White Plains, NY, Saverio(Samuel Belmont) Belmonte and Angelo Belmonte/Belmont.

        1. Since my post I have found my Great Grandfather John Belmont(e) born 26 April 1881 Bonito Italy, Italian name is Giovanni Belmonte. I found his fathers name is Gabriel Belmonte and mothers name Donia Seminella. With that in the Family History Library in Salt Lake City Utah, USA I found his birth record 29 September 2018. That is where I am at.this time.
