I don’t know if you ever received a response to your inquiry, but I can tell you that according to the birth records from Troia, your grandmother Anna de San Mucci was born 23 July 1888. The record of her birth was recorded on 26 July 1888, three days after her birth. The document shows both dates. Her parents are listed as Giovanni di Mucci (b. Abt 1858) and Grazia Catalano. They had five children: Giuseppe (5 May 1884), Luigi (11 Oct 1885), Clelia (5 Dec 1886), Anna (your grandmother), and Assunta (17 Aug 1899).
Giovanni di Mucci was the son of Luigi di Mucci (1813 to 1886) and Maria Giuseppa Saracino. They had five children: Francesco Paolo (28 Mar 1847), Maria Michela (abt 1851), Giovanni (your great grandfather), Carmela Carmina (18 Dec 1862), and Donato, who I have no further information on other than the fact that he married Maria Mandara.
Luigi di Mucci was the son of Lorenzo de Mucci who was born in the late 1700’s and died sometime before 1866. Lorenzo was your 3rd great grandfather. Lorenzo married Maria Michela Lupoli who died in Troia sometime between 1868 and 1883. They had three children that I am aware of (I’m sure there were more but I have limited access to the records): Luigi (your great grandfather), Urbano (1823 to 1868) and Vincenzo ( abt 1823 to 1883).
I derived all of this information from the civil records of Troia while compiling my wife’s family history. She is a 3rd great granddaughter of Urban de Mucci (brother of your 2nd great grandfather Luigi) and his wife Maria Teresa Zappa, thus making my wife your fourth cousin once removed. We were both born in Philadelphia and now live in West Chester, Chester County.

My great grandfather, Alfonso Caputo, was born in Troia, Italy in 1859, but I have no official record of the birth and I would like to have one, particularly as it might show his mother and father. Alfonso was married to Antonia Lizzi, and she died and was buried in Trioa around 1894, but I have no official record of the marriage or the death and would like to have these, as they might list Antonia Lizzi’s parents. Finally, Alfonso Caputo’s parents Antonio (might have been Valantonio) and his mother, Costanza Pasqualuccio probably died in Trioa in the late 1800’s, but I can find no record of them. I am told that Antonia Lizzi, Antonio Caputo, and Costanza Pasqualuccio are buried in the graveyard of the church in Trioa. Can you help find the information on these three ancestors of mine? My Great Grandfather, Alfonso Caputo was also from Troia, and I believe he was probably born some time in the mid 19th century, so we might be related. My Grandmother was Carmella Caputo. I don’t know my great Grandmother’s name. Perhaps Antonia Lizzi is my Great Grandmother too. I do know that my Grandmother (Carmella) was born in July, 1893 and that her mother died when she was only 18 months old. Thereafter, her Father remarried and she had a number of step brothers (Jack & Al) & a step-sister, Eleanor. Carmella was my Mother’s mother. She and my Grandfather, Joseph Donvito were married in Allegheny county, PA in 1913. I am the daughter of Nick & Anne (Donvito) Crimi. Fred! My grandmother’s maiden name was Lizzi. I believe her father was Gabriel Lizzi born in Foggia around 1889, married to a Lydia Iacavone(sp). From what I could find, he came to the US around 1912. Trying to find any information I can as all connection was lost with that side of the family decades before I was born.
