    Virginia,

The surnames you listed don’t match, but I am also trying to find out my

Great Grandparents names. My Grandparents both migrated from Alberona to

Orange, NJ in the early 1900’s. their names are Antonio DeLuca (born 1880

) and Lucille Marucci (born 1879) If these names and dates match anyone’s

family info, please let me know. Thanks

My Grandmother, Rosaria Querques De Masi was born in Alberona in the 1890’s. She arrived in America and moved to Orange, NJ to live with an uncle. She later married Biagio DeMasi who was from Foiano di Valforte in Benevento.

My grandmother had a sister who has long passed away. Her sister had a child Giovanna who married Nicola De Palma. There was also a male child/cousin and his name was Michael.

Is there anyone in Alberona who is familiar with my grandmother or her family?

    Sincerely,

    Virginia Fischette

Maternal grandmother born in Alberona, Foggia, Puglia, in about 1893, and came to the U.S. when she was 18 years old. Wondering if we have any relatives still residing in her town of birth after all these years. The name is Suozzo. Mother’s maiden name, Itesta.

My husband’s great uncle, Leonard Suozzo, came from Alberona – there mUST be a connection here! We too have been wondering if there are any relatives still in ALberona. Leonard Suozzo came to NJ and lived with his sister, Mildred Fandetti for awhile if memory serves. Mildred is my husband’s grandmother. Leonard was born in 1895 amd I think his father was Mattes Suozzo.
