  2. Darlene says:

My grandfather was Giuseppe Bucci (born 1901) son of Nicola Bucci and Filomena Greco. He had a sister Nunziata. This is all I know about my Bucci and Greco families. Giuseppe married Nicolina (born 1902) and they had a daughter, Filomena (born 1924). They all lived in Montorio Nei Frentani. My grandfather then came to the U.S. and sent for his wife and daughter in 1935. I would appreciate any information I can get on my Bucci or Greco famytree.

Hello, my grandfather, Michele Cirelli was born in Cercemaggiore, Italy in Molise in 1905. He emigrated to the US in 1956. He passed away in 2003. We’d like to find out who his ancestors are, if possible. Also, my maternal great-grandfather was named Giuseppe Massari. We have no idea what happened to him and would like to pick up his trail starting in the Campobasso area though likely he too was born in Cercemaggiore, sometime after 1870, I’m guessing. My grandmother, his daughter, was born in 1906 in the U.S., so we know he emigrated to the U.S. At the turn of the 20th century.

Hi, my mother was a DiStaulo. Her father’s name was Antonio DiStaulo from Montorio nei Frentani. His father’s name was also Antonio DiStaulo and his mother’s name was Maria DiMaulo. I think my grandfather was an only child. My grandfather emigrated to the United States in 1913 and eventually settled in Jersey City New Jersey. Possibly Antonio and Gennarino were relatives, I would like to research further.

I am looking to trace my husband’s family roots in Montorio. His father Antonio Salvatore was born there in 1924 I believe and had three living brothers, Francesco, Constanza, and Giuseppe. Their parents names were Donato and Filomena Di Michele. I have been told there was another brother named Gianni, who passed at age 2 and 2 other brothers who were either stillborn or died very young, I don’t know their names. Antonio passed away in 1988 and his other 3 brothers are also deceased now. I would like to know of any other relatives further back in the family tree (info also about the deceased brothers if it is available), Brothers/sisters of Donato Salvatore and Filomena Di Michele, their parents, or any other decendants further back. If anyone has any information they can share, that would be very helpful.
