I would appreciate any information on my great great grandfather Cirilo Basso who was born in Genova, Italy, approximately in 1820’s? He emigrated to Chile and later California in the USA but dates are not available. He became a miner.
I am frustrated. I hope you might be able to help me.

    Hello,
I’m looking for the birth of Agostino De Podesta who was born about 1800 in Genoa and emigrated to Ireland around 1829. Later that year he married a young woman from Kilkenny and they moved to Dublin where they had 12 children. Agostino worked at Wellington Quay in Dublin as an importer of fancy basket ware. He died in 1857.
It would be very interesting to know why he emigrated and more about his family in Genoa.
    Thank you.
    Kate
