I am looking for information on my great grandfather who emigrated to the United States. The information that we have may or may not be accurate as he could not read or write English when he arrived. Spelling may be different. I have his name as Andrea Tucci born on January 11, 1885 in Sant’Arcangelo Trimonte area or Avellino area. I am not sure if he was adopted or not. He came to the U.S. through New York on May 4, 1901 on the ship SS California. He married Maria Esposito and lived in Portland, Maine, USA. I am trying to find out who his parents were and his grandparents, and so on…..So far, I cannot find any records in Italy. Thank you for your help!!
