Hello, my name is Steve Niverth. My maternal grandmother, Maria Guarscio was born in Fiumefreddo Bruzio. I have a copy of her birth certificate. She was born on November 14, 1889 to Giuseppina Amalia Petrungaro and her husband Giuseppe Guarscio. The only other information that I have is that she was born in a house on Porta di Mare street. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

My maternal grandfather is from Mendicino, born December 12, 1877. I also will be visiting Fiumefreddo Bruzio for Christmas (2017)and would b available to discuss any findings.

    Thank you very much

My grandfather Bruno Amendola was one of nine children born to Filippo Amendola and Giovanna Naccarato . They were born in Fiumefreddo Bruzio Cosenza. My grandfather married Innocensia Aloise . They had 3 children in fiumefreddo then moved to Mendicino and had 8 more children. I have most of my father and my mothers brothers and sisters still living in Mendicino. I have asked my father and he said their were other families with the same last name and who he thinks were distant cousins who also lived in Mendicino.
I am sorry I don't know more about the other Amendola families from Mendicino.
Keep me informed if you make any more progress.
    Thank you
