    Pietro Vincenzo Cortese is my Grandfather, this is the only information that I have for Pietro:
    • Born in Italy or Sicily in 1874 (+/- 2 years)
    • Died in Chicago, Illinois in 12/06/1899
    o Married to Madelina (Nellie) in Chicago in 1898, my grandmother was 16 years at the time.
     1st Child – Giacinto Charles on 11/13/1898
     2nd Child – Peter Cortese in 1900 (died before Peter was born
    • I believe he arrived in the US (New York) in 1898 or 1897. His future wife could have been traveling with him or met him on the ship coming across.

    I am trying to locate birth records for my grandmother, Isabelle Carmen Rizzo. She was born in September, 1882 in Sorbo San Basile. We do not know her parent’s names or if she had any siblings in Italy. A brother, Joe Rizzo emigrated to New York then to Denver, Colorado when he arranged for her to emigrate to US, Denver, CO.
