Do you have any information on antonio cheanti/chianti/cianti who was born in 1843 and died in 1865/1867, from Caramonica Italy, Provinco di Abruzzi? She supposedly died in childbirth with a son named Salvatore who was adopted by a local convent and given the name Salvatore D’Amico.
My grandfather, Solomone Alberici, and my grandmother, Lucia di Propertis both came from Tocco da Causaria. My grandfather and his two brothers came over to, America (Boston or tMontreal to Vermont) around 1885. My grandfather bought property in Barre, Vermont, then sent for my grandmother, Lucia. The other two brothers went to Brooklyn, NY and then moved on. Both my grandparents remained in Vermont. My aunt and father were born here.

I have the birth dates of my Grandmother Palma Candida Di Giandomenico Aug. 20 1894 and her sister Maria Antonia Di Giandomenico April 21, 1890. I am looking for ancestry and siblings of my children’s gr grandmother, Concetta D’Angelo. She was born 9 Dec 1893 in Tocco Casauria. She married Cesidio Piccioli from Caramanico Terme prior to 1910. She and her son, Michele, immigrated from Naples on SS Canada on 17 April 1920. The sailing manifest lists her mother as Jamone Domenica. I know that:
1) He was born 7 Aug 1884
2) he left Tocco da Casauria in December 1901 on the Trave, arriving in NY in January 1902. He was traveling with his brother Angelo D’Angelo
3) He was coming to see his brother Luigi, who lived in Chester, PA.
4) It APPEARS his father was Joseph, mother was Marie Longli

My husband’s grandmother and grandfather were from Tocco. Her name was Anunziata Spano and his was Eugene Pettinelli. They were born in Tocco approximately 1893 and 1892. We will be visiting Tocco on Nov. 2 and would love to know if there are any relatives still there. One thing about his grandmother. Records show her name to be Anunziata Spano but she was later known as Nancy Pettinelli (she had a brother named Chester Romano). Not sure where the Romano name came from. Steven, your grandfather was my father’s first cousin. Your grandparents lived in Lexington, Mi. when my parents lived in Fort Gratiot, Mi. Many meals were spent with them, at my parents house. Your grandfather always spent time at my father’s fruit market. Your grandfather lived in Chesterfield, after you grandmother, Lena, passed away. Your Great-Aunt Carmela Virga , I remember very vell. I would appreciate any and all family history, especially knowing that ours is a shared family history. I am the oldest of Donata (Eustachio’s sister’s) grandchildren. Joe Berardo was my father. I have a copy of my grandparents wedding photo, in it are your great grandparents, your grandfather, Domonic as a young boy, and Carmela. I’m the great grandson for Eustachio Tarquinio. My father is Gerald A Tarquinio, his father is Dominic J Tarquinio – son of Eustachio. Their child was Abele Tarquinio who was born April 10th, 1892. He married to Assunta Rega who was born on the 12th of May, 1896. They married about 1923 in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA.

My great great grandfather is Eustachio Tarquinio of Tocco da Casauria, born 1865 (?) who married Loreta Tucci in 1889. Loretta’s parents were Angelosante Tucci and Annantonia Rizio. Eustachio and Loreta went to São Paulo in 1896 and Eustachio was killed working on the railroad in approximately 1902. I have recently heard may have been buried in or near Pennsylvania, which makes me think we may have the same relatives.
my grandmother was Donata Tarquinio, born in 1898 at tocco da Casauria, she had 2 brothers one was Eustachio Tarquinio born in 1877 he was married in Indiana. He later came to Detroit, Michigan. I have found where he registered for the draft in 1917. The other brother was Uncle George, who name I believe was Greggio? Tarquinio. My grandmother Donata Tarquinio married Angelo Berardo who I believe was from Frosinone, Italy. Eustachio’s children were Dominic, and Carmella. Uncle George had one adopted son Gino. My grandmother had Anthony, Dominic, Joseph, Angeline, and Jennie. All of these people ended up living in the Metro Detroit area. I have found where my grandmother left Tocco da Casauria and landed in New York,on December 1, 1920. She was 22 years old and had left from Naples sailing aboard the Providence. I have found here marriage license which was in Detroit Michigan it lists a Domonico as her father and Carmela as her mother. I can find no records for either of them.
Wow! Three people named Eustachio Tarquinio all born within fourteen years of each other in the same town that currently has only about 2800 inhabitants.
Erin’s great grandfather (Eustachio Tarquinio) married a women whose mother’s last name was Rizio and my great grandfather (also Eustachio Tarquinio) married a woman with a last name of Rizio. Donata Tarquinio’s brother was also named Eustachio Tarquinio. Yet, despite the similarity of names and the close proximity in time and location of birth there is no known close family relationship.
It was the practice at that time to name the first son for his grandfather so it’s possible that your three Eustaccio were first cousins. Also as saint Eustaccio is that patron saint of tocco there were a lot of boys with that name which is very uncommon in other areas. My late brother in law born in 1949 was an Eustaccio as well.
