  1. M. Caporale says:

I am hoping to track down information about the Bencivengo family, of whom Antoinette or Antonnette Bencivengo is my great grandmother. I believe she was born in Collarmele D’Aquila in or around 1880, and that she married Prisco Monaco sometime before emigrating to the United States. My grandmother, Rose Monaco, was born within a very short time (weeks or months) subsequent to Antoinette’s naturalization via the American port of New Haven, 1902. I really don’t know, for sure, when or where she was born and I have no idea what her parents or siblings names may have been.

If you can help point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it — even if it’s to rule something out, such as should the name “Bencivengo” be spelled another way?
