My great great grandfather was Dominick Scipione who was a traveling silk merchant when he met his future wife Giacinta Iavicola. In 1849 they had a son Vito Scipione whose marriage record states he was born in San Vito Chietino. Dominick’s family were upset that he did not marry someone from their hometown of Sulmona so it is assumed that Giacinta may have come from San Vito Chietino. Can you put me in touch with someone who can direct me with an address for civil records in this town?

My grandfather Antonino Rocco Tosti (dob 24 April 1895) was from San Vito Chietino. My husband and I are coming from the US next month and I want to see if I can find any information on his family. His parents were Luigi Tosti and Mariangela Rossi. Can you give me any advice on where to begin and look for this information.
