This is Genealogy!

Genealogy is passion.
In this videoclip, our great friend Alessandro shows us some of his research work in the old archives in a small italian town.
It’s such a hard job and only Italy-based genealogists like him can carry it on and explore family history fisrt-hand: leafing and reading the old handwritten books, page by page.
Genealogy for us is made on field: you can’t fully understand if you can’t see with your eyes and if you can’t touch with your hands the old registers.
This is what we do daily to help people to know more on their italian roots.

You may however choose to have the same thrill we feel by taking an ancestral tour with ItalianSide, walking on your forefathers’ footsteps.
This is why genealogy is so intriguing and challenging. This is what we like.

Thank you for all of your hard work!

I think these are the facts about my Sicilian family:

[1] Giuseppe Demma (born around 1824) is married to [2] Maria Mantia (born around 1824 or 1827). They had a daughter [3] Anna Demma (26 July 1852). She married [4] Antonio Bova (28 December 1843). Their son [5] Joseph Bova (11 November 1882 – 25 May 1952) immigrated to the USA and lived in Dayton, Ohio.

Joseph Bova was my great, grandfather.

I am looking for any information on my family that can be found. I know that my family was from Termini Imerese, Palarmo, Scily.

    Thank you!

We are looking for a genealogist to do some research for our family. Our family is from a small town in the province of Avellino. There are still relatives there but a professional can do a tree faster. Are you close to the Avellino area? What do you charge to do a search? What services can you provide? The relative would work with you, too.

    Hello Alessandro,

I am looking to find the baptismal information on my Great, great grandfather, Domenico Ragonese born in Serrata, Reggio Calabria around 1884. I would like to trace back his (our) male family line and name from that point on backwards. I understand that originally our family was from Spain. Our name would have been Aragonese, but I do not know when the “A” was removed. Could I hire you to do some looking into old church records. I would love to hear from you, and hope you can help me.
